Orca Whales Hunting With Their Brains

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 by Wojcik

I don’t know if I could have even figured out this little puzzle. Delicious seal sitting on ice cap, my teeth and stomach stuck in the water. How ever do I make the connection?

When I worked aboard commercial fishing boats in Alaska the orcas use to follow the boat around to eat the fish that we were either discarding or, in the case of a longliner, the fish we meant to keep. They would only seemed to eat the commercially valuable species as well. As the biologist on board I thought it was very funny.
