It Will Grow Back.
The race started at noon. We were right about on schedule, trolling for parking in cobblestoned Tribeca so we could take the 1 train up to 116th street. Luckily, the train came as soon as we got to the platform and we packed in our bicycles and cameras.
We thought we were running late until longboarders started pouring into our subway car. First four, then another three. Closer to our stop, the car was full. When we stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the subway station, we had only one thing on our minds: the race down Broadway, as fast as possible.
