Who Is…

The Squid Force is a group of like-minded men and women from around the world that live a truly amphibious lifestyle.

Main Contributers:

Michael Carr: Writer, Producer, All-round Waterman

Christopher Wojcik: Marine Biologist, Filmmaker, Exhibit Designer

While he may be best known for his underwater photography and HD videography work for The Discovery Channel, Christopher Wojcik is very much the true saltwater enthusiast. With a Master’s degree in Biological Oceanography, twenty years’ experience as a SCUBA instructor and an impressive portfolio of zoo and aquarium exhibits under his belt, Chris has lived the very life he now markets through Squid Force Media. When he wasn’t working as a National Marine Fisheries Service Biologist aboard commercial fishing boats in Alaska, he was most likely thrilling enthusiastic audiences through his international travel adventure tours. An avid SCUBA and breath-hold diver, spear fisherman, surfer and underwater videographer, Chris’ main goal is to enjoy his life on planet Earth, and to see as much of it as possible in the process.

Paul Pittman: Geologist, naturalist, alternative energy designer and seafaring bum

After shocking all who knew him by finally finishing a task, Paul graduated from Western Washington University with a Master’s degree in Coastal Geology shortly before his 30th birthday. During his prolonged stay in college, and ever since, he worked as a riverine and coastal geologist to sustain his habit of exploring coastal waterways along the Pacific Ocean in handmade wooden boats. He remains fascinated by the spiritual forces of the ocean, and more recently began harnessing the power of waves and tides to generate a renewable form of energy.

John Wojcik: CTO, Land Nerd

As computers and water don’t often mesh in a way that leaves both in working condition, John spends most of his time on land. He is responsible for the on-line strategy and technical aspects of http://www.squidforce.com. His undergraduate degree is in Computer Science from Rutgers College and has a masters in Technology Management from The University of Pennsylvania Engineering School and the Wharton School of Business. His experience includes management of infrastructure and development of the Source Interlink Media Action Sports Group, including the web properties of Surfer Magazine, Skateboarder Magazine, Snowboarder Magazine and http://www.wavewatch.com. He also played a similar role for those web properties now owned by Intermedia Outdoors - Guns & Ammo, In-Fisherman, Fly Fisherman and Bowhunting.
