“Hey buddy”, shouted one of the guys from the beached boat,” I can’t get my boat started, can I borrow your car battery so I can jump her?”
“Sure”, Charlie said reluctantly. He didn’t know the men, but had seen one of them before. And the other looked like he could be a brother, his short hair cut gave him the look of a soldier.
“Thanks” said the familiar guy as he jumped off the boat with his tools. He walked off the beach and straight to Charlie’s car and quickly removed the battery. The man was handsome and he smiled and made small talk and whistled as he carried Charlie’s battery back onto the beach.
He waded to the boat, handed the battery to his brother and climbed aboard.
With the help of the car battery, the boat finally started.
Charlie stared in disbelief as the “Asinine” drove away, it’s crew laughing, and intermittently waving good-bye.
